Samples Received/Redeemed: 24 - 28 September 2012

I was debating whether I should post a review yesterday or wait until today to blog about the samples I may be redeeming from TSS the final time. TSS won here as I am going to gripe about their "un-initiativeness". (Don't worry My Scheming, you're still my #1. All these TSS facial masks are for my mother, except for the Snail Mucin one which I am keeping for myself ^^ )

Well, samples I've redeemed/received from 24 September to 28 September (2012). These The Sample Store samples will probably be the last batch I am redeeming from them. If you're unsure why, go check out my previous post regarding TSS.

But in short, allow me to put it this way. Previously when delivery charges were S$2.99, I can overlook the fact that:
  • I need to email TSS every single time I credited money to my account
  • I need to send more than 1 email to remind TSS that I credited money to my account
  • My saved items miraculously goes kaput after a mere 24 horus, making me hunt down what I've previously saved
  • TSS have a flawed system where initiative is never the main objective

But after increasing their delivery charges to S$3.99, with nary an update anywhere on their site, blog or Facebook page, I cannot overlook the fact that:
  • I need to email TSS every single time I credited money to my account
  • I need to send more than 1 email to remind TSS that I credited money to my account
  • My saved items miraculously goes kaput after a mere 24 horus, making me hunt down what I've previously saved
  • TSS have a flawed system where initiative is never the main objective

In other words, there's no improvement on TSS part at all. And I thought that after TSS slyly, secretly, cunningly and deceptively increased their delivery charges by another extra S$1.00, their service would improve, but nope. I had to send 2 emails just to remind them that I had money credited to my account. It's not once, it's every single time. Where, exactly, is their initiative?

Probably gone down the drain when they think and also know that they are the only organization in Singapore that provides samples at a fixed price. In other words, I went from a satisfied customer of TSS to a very unhappy one right now. From now on, whenever TSS have new samples, I really have to take a longer took and decide whether future new samples are worth S$3.99. If not, I'll just bid and wait until they offer stuffs that do not need their users to pay anything at all.

Without further ado, here's a look at the stuffs that I redeemed/received:

Mail from Abbott and TSS.

Previously, I've mentioned that it was from an email sent by omy.sg. They were looking for interested bloggers to test this new product and 1 winner would be chosen from all the blog entries, should I decide to join. Well, I forgot to make an blog entry for it as the "time-frame" was too short. It didn't help that their "sample" was decided to be delivered later than it was actually promised.

What I didn't forget was to bug a friend for her particulars so we both can get mystery gift(s) from Abbott. This IS the mystery gift and now, I have 2 quantities of this product and still no contact lenses.. -_-"

First of the 4 facial mask samples I've redeemed from TSS.

  • Lovemore South Pacific Gold Pearl Amazing White Mask x 1
  • Lovemore Snail Mucin Healing & Hydrating Mask x 1

  • Lovemore Japan Soymilk Enzyme Moisturizing & Smoothing Mask x 1
  • Lovemore Mediterranean Pomegranate Lifting & Whitening Mask x 1

More mail, from Palmer's Singapore (who chose to use an envelope with a return address back to Singapore Post and had me wondering what the heck it was supposed to be), My Scheming (my favorite facial mask company, love them!!) and the final 2 batches of facial masks from TSS.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula x 2

WHERE TO REDEEM SAMPLE: Go to Palmer's Singapore Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/palmerssingapore, Like their page. Next, click on the link that says FREE SAMPLES, fill in your particulars and wait for the samples to arrive in your mailbox.

My Scheming: Deep Cleansing Pore Minimizing Mask x 1

WHERE TO REDEEM SAMPLE: Go over to My Scheming Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MySchemingSg, Like their page in order to be notified of latest promotions, contests, blah blah.

Most of My Scheming facial masks can easily be won through their Facebook page contests. And to be honest, I've won quite a decent amount too (if I win everthing, everyone's gonna hate me ^^; and as the saying goes "You win some, you lose some"), their contests are uber easy to participate and most occasions, there's always more than 1 winner. So, it's win-win for fans who Liked, Joined and Participate. And may I add, one of the best facial mask company I've had the pleasure of interacting with!!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

  • Sexylook Super Hydrating Duo Lifting Mask x 1
  • Sexylook Intensive Firming Duo Lifting Mask x 1
  • Sexylook Extra Brightening Duo Lifting Mask x 1
  • Sexylook Rejuvenating Duo Lifting Mask x 1

  • Sexylook Super Moisturizing Duo Lifting Mask x 1
  • Sexylook Extreme Whitening Duo Lifting Mask x 1
  • Sexylook Pure White Radiance Duo Lifting Mask x 1

  • Lovemore French caviar Anti-Wrinkle & Firming Mask x 1

Ahh.. so many facial masks redeemed from TSS, which may probably be the last time I am redeeming anymore things from them. Once "classified" and "translated" to Chinese (my mother don't understand English lah~), almost all of it will be given to my mother to use. I'm keeping the "scheming" ones. Mu~fufufu~

L'Occitane Lavender Tea Tree Geranium Body Lotion Review

WHAT IS IT: L'Occitane Lavender Tea Tree Geranium Body Lotion

THE PRODUCT(S):

L'Occitane Lavender Tea Tree Geranium Body Lotion: Moisturize and nourish with this Relaxing Body Lotion. Enriched with grape seed oil, it can be applied to even the most sensitive skin. This light and fresh body lotion is made with lavender, tea tree, and geranium essential oils, which is perfect for those seeking relaxation.

VERDICT: First of all, the scent, it's actually rather heavy. My mother commented that it smells awful, but I'm guessing the reason is because of 3 main ingredients present in this Lavender Tea Tree Geranium Body Lotion, which happens to be Lavender, Tea Tree and Geranium. It does sound like a bad combination for a body lotion.

However, hours after applying this Lavender Tea Tree Geranium Body Lotion, I sort of found out that scent started to tame down a little and it actually smelled pleasant despite the inital scent I sniffed. Since I got my sample bottle from a Christmas set during my working stint at Singapore Changi Airport more than 5 years ago, I cannot tell if this product is still available at their L'Occitane outlets in Singapore anymore, but I hope they do.

Let's take a look at the Lavender Tea Tree Geranium Body Lotion in slightly more detail. The lotion itself is white and creamy, but surprisingly, it actually absorbs into the skin pretty fast. The texture is smooth, and the initial strong scent gradually fades a little, making the scent more acceptable. It's almost similar to TBS' White Musk range of scents (Eu De Toilette and Eu De Parfum), where the initial scent is rather strong to individual liking, but gradually fades a little to the point where you fall in love with it. That's what I'm trying to explain about this Lavender Tea Tree Geranium Body Lotion.

The lotion despite having Tea Tree as 1 of it's ingredients, isn't oily at all. And it hydrates my skin efficiently, without the after-greasy feeling, even hours after application. Was rather tempted to re-apply every 3-4 hours ^^

And the scent, remember how I kept mentioning about how strong it was? Well, the strong scent dissipated and what's left behind was this wonderful sweet scent of Lavender, lulling me to sleep just 1 hour after applying it. And it's so good that I only woke up at 3:00 pm just now to write this up ^^; *sheepish*

PRODUCT RATING: ✓✓✓

WHAT I THINK: Rock-a-bye Pu Niao on the tree top~ *snores*

WHERE TO REDEEM A SAMPLE: I'm not sure if L'Occitane outlets in Singapore have sample satchets for this product, but then, it wouldn't hurt to just pop by the nearest outlet near you. In the event they don't, no worries, you can just try it straight from their sample bottle at the outlet itself.

Advice: Initial application will make this product smelled rather strong, I'd suggest you to walk around a little and let your body heat slowly dissipates it before taking a whiff of the product that you applied/tried/tested out on, say your arm. You'll find that the scent will slowly become more bearable and eventually tries to lull you into sleep.

TBS Moisture White Shiso BB Cream [SPF 25 PA+++] Review

WHAT IS IT: Moisture White Shiso BB Cream [SPF 25 PA+++]

THE PRODUCT(S):

Moisture White Shiso BB Cream [SPF 25 PA+++]: This multi-action make-up base conceals, soothes and evens out skin tone. Conceals, soothes and protects. Infused with Shiso, Vitamin C, liquorice and Community Fair Trade aloe vera. Apply to face after your daily care routine.

Before using Moisture White Shiso BB Cream.

After using Moisture White Shiso BB Cream.

VERDICT: Honestly, I actually have a love-hate relationship with this Moisture White Shiso BB Cream from The Body Shop. When I first tried it in a TBS outlet, I thought I fell in love with it as the color matches my skin tone. But shortly after buying it back and trying again, I thought it suddenly looked too dark. Subsequently, my perception was proved wrong once more when it seemed to blend into my skin tone. Never had a BB Cream gave me so much anguish before.

Let's take another look at one of the important ingredient that goes into this Moisture White Shiso BB Cream, namely Shiso. Shiso reduces early melanin-making signals even before the hyperpimentation process and melanin production starts. It helps prevent uneven skin tone, brown spots and freckles. and also minimise dark spots formation and discolouration.

This Moisture White Shiso BB Cream comes in a slim white tube reminiscent of a toothpaste container, thus making it a good product that you can bring out of the house with you for "emergency" touch-ups when needed. Despite the BB cream itself looking rather thick and creamy, I was really surprised when the texture actually felt smooth. Although I had to admit that just because the texture is smooth doesn't necessarily make it lightweight in any way at all. It does take a little more padding/massaging/rubbing to ensure complete absorption into the skin.

Nevertheless, this particular product only has 1 shade to it's line. (i know, 1 shade is really hard to blend for everyone who have different skin tones/colors, kinda unfair and biased somewhat, I would agree.) And true to the packaging's words, it does give an instant whitening effect on my skin. I could actually see the slight skin tone/color difference between my chin and neck. What blasphemy!

Trying a small dollop on the back of my hand proved that it did "blended" in, but on my chin/face, it seemed as if it's trying to make it look contrasting somehow. After letting it sit on my chin for a good 30 minutes or so (+/- 30 minutes since I didn't really time it accordingly), it does seemed to slowly blend into my skin tone and doesn't look that much contrasting as compared to when I first applied on a layer. Although it did made my face look as if it's wearing a really thin, thin layer of BB mask.

And one other thing about this Moisture White Shiso BB Cream is that, it's actually a good product for people like us oilies (a.k.a people with oily skin) as it actually does blend in pretty good. If you have oily skin, powder isn't necessarily a good choice as sebum flow may cake the powder on your face and give you "lines". Despite 30 minutes later and some light activities that includes dishing up a late lunch without the benefit of an electric fan blowing my direction, I am pleased to say that my chin under the layer of BB cream actually doesn't look too bad at all. Just a slight glow that can easily be taken care of with blotting paper.

PRODUCT RATING: ✓✓✓

WHAT I THINK: For something that comes in 1 shade, it does surprise me all the time!

WHERE TO REDEEM A SAMPLE: So far, I've never encountered sample versions of this Moisture White Shiso BB Cream at any TBS outlet in Singapore. However, you can actually pop by and ask if they have any. If not, just go to any TBS outlet near you and try it in their outlet.

BB Cream Tip: Always try out BB Cream on your jawline, not on the back of your hand. The skin tone on your hand and face may not be an exact match. And if the BB Cream "disappears" into your skin while being tried out on your jawline, Congratulations, you've just found a BB Cream that is right for your skin tone.

Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo [Organix] Review

WHAT IS IT: Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo [Organix]

THE PRODUCT(S):

Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo [Organix]: It’s the perfect blend of cherry blossom extracts and ginseng root to rejuvenate the scalp and hair follicle to add volume at the root while replenishing your hair with nourishing rice milk and bamboo extract for hydration and shine.

Tried a smidgen to review. But since I only have a sample satchet, it's an example of too little shampoo and too much water. It actually does produce soap suds rather well and washes off easily too.

THE VERDICT: First of all we need to focus on the 1st important thing. The scent, what else?? This Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo smells heavenly, so much so I almost couldn't bear to use it at all. According to the packaging on this Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo, it has the perfect blend of cherry blossom extracts (that's where the wonderful heavenly scent came from) and ginseng root to rejuvenate our scalp and hair follicle to add volume at the roots. And at the same time, it replenishes our hair with a nourishing rice milk and bamboo extract for hydration and shine.

It does sound promising, after my not so happy encounter with their Tea Tree Mint shampoo. But somehow, this product actually promises, where Tea Tree Mint shampoo failed. Astonishing, we may all wonder? Since both shampoos are from Organix respectively, and yet 1 worked while the other failed to deliver. How? I'm also curious, but here's my own verdict on the how that promises.

I purposely decided not to properly comb my hair (only finger-combed) for a good 2 days prior to using this. And each time, I always kept my hair up in a bun. That is definitely guaranteed to leave tangles in your long hair, I assure you without hesitation. And after using and washing off this Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo, my hair actually instantly felt smoother, softer and all the supposedly tangled parts of my hair actually went kaput. And I didn't use any hair conditioner in the shower nor use my newly trusted BFF Moroccan Argan Oil as well. It was only the shampoo, nothing else!

The shampoo actually looks a little pale yellowish and has a semi-transparent/slightly opaque look to it, but still, the smell is just oh-so-divinely-heavenly. It foams and suds rather well with no extra effort and it washes off your hair easily too, without making your scalp feel as if there's leftover shampoo residue that escaped the shower session.

As we all are well aware of the fact that we shouldn't attempt to comb our hair in the shower and immediately after showering when our hair is still wet, as it will damage our hair and also at the same time yank out healthy hair due to the wet combing part. So, I dutifully waited until my hair was almost at least a good 70% - 80% dry before attempting to finger-comb. And guess what? Not much hairfall was visible, it did smooth out my hair. Now, that is 1 hair/shampoo miracle I could possibly not figure out on my own. Hmm..

PRODUCT RATING: ✓✓✓

WHAT I THINK: Felt a hair miracle, wished it last longer, but it's a sample satchet, meh..

WHERE TO REDEEM A SAMPLE: If you think you would like to give the Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo (and Moroccan Argan Oil) a try, go over to Organix Singapore Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/organixsingapore, Like their page.

The Sample Store Singapore Service Review

[ I know this particular review isn't about beauty products or anything related to beauty products. But I felt this review about Singapore's TSS is due, considering that they suddenly increased their delivery fees without warning and such. Read on. ]

To be honest, when I first got to know about The Sample Store Singapore, I was really ecstatic. I mean, there will be days when you really don't feel like going down to stores to ask for samples. Sometimes, it can be because it's not worth your transport money to go to, say Orchard Road, to just ask for 1 or 2 samples. And sometimes, Sales Assistants are rather hesitant about giving away sample satchets for you to try, especially if you do not intend to buy anything.

The Sample Store Singapore somehow solved that problem for us beauty conscious females (and males) by giving us samples to try for a low delivery cost of S$2.99 for 4 samples. If you were to round off S$2.99 to S$3.00 exactly, each sample would roughly cost S$0.75 each. Not that expensive, if you factor in having to go to different places to get your samples.

But lately, I found out from a friend's comment on The Sample Store Singapore's Facebook page that the delivery price was increased to S$3.99. That works out to roughly S$1.00 for 1 sample requested/redeemed. At this point, try and think this way. Not every sample TSS have is the same size, facial mask(s) are one thing, as they all mostly come in roughly the same size and probably the exact same weight (which is 30g). So, if TSS were to only have facial mask(s) for redemption, the price of S$3.99 would seem justified somehow.

However, back to the topic of sample satchet sizes. Not every other sample satchets are the same. Some are so lightweight you could have thought the satchet itself is empty and void of anything in it. A check on their website simply told me that they didn't announce the increase of delivery fee has been increased anywhere at all. Although it's partly my own fault for not double-checking the fee before getting my latest samples of facial masks. But I personally thought that it's sly of them not to announce it anywhere.

I'm sure most of us wouldn't have looked hard enough at the delivery fee amount until it's too late. A comment on their Facebook page confirmed that delivery fee has been increased by S$1.00, and still, no update on their website anywhere that the change has been effective as of when?

And back to the issue of their website. If you scrolled down a little more on their main page, you will see that their last newsletter was dated on May 2011. That was when Facebook hasn't undergone a renovation at all, and if there's samples to be redeemed, you would have been able to see it. Now what Facebook has undergone the "renovation" and is seemingly finalised, they could have updated their newsletter to include that and at the same time, "teach" newer members how to keep a look-out for samples that can be redeemed.

Fat chance, I would dare say! From May 2011 until Septmeber 2012, still not a single squeak from their newsletter at all. Which do lead us to believe that their staff no longer cared anymore. Especially not of their members' welfare on their site, and definitely not on their Facebook page.

But on the contrary, the only thing that seemed updated on TSS website AND Facebook page are news of latest samples and current advertisements. Which I personally felt isn't that good enough at all. It is the only few aspects of TSS that their staffs seemed bothered to update on.

And personally, I think it does sucked even more that if you are a beauty blogger looking for a sponsored "break" for your beauty-blog or beauty-related-blog, you have to keep going back to TSS. Even if you are gungho enough to approach companies that sells beauty products, chances are that you will be referred back to TSS. Unless you either is a true advocate of a particular product enough to keep buying repeatedly and doing revies on it, you may be able to earn a "sponsored" opportunity.

And my pet peeve out of all this? I have to keep emailing TSS everytime I topped up my account with money in order to see the "change" reflected on my account at TSS website. Shouldn't it be a more initiative approach on TSS part to ensure that their customers can enjoy a hassle-free experience looking and requesting/redeeming of samples without having to worry about whether TSS is aware of account top-ups? My latest account top-up was last week's Saturday/Sunday (early hours of Saturday, approaching Sunday morning). And I even took the effort in sending out an email to them on a Sunday morning about my account top-up.

And I was expecting my account to be reflected with the latest top-up amount, earliest by Monday late afternoon or Tuesday (which is today) early afternoon. But still, no news. Previously, they would have emailed me back stating their the necessary updating is completed. But now, still no news. Or maybe they cannot be bothered to read emails that are sent on weekends, unless prompted.

But before I sign off this post, here's my own little tip(s) on making your beauty-blog or beauty-related-blog reviews count:
  • Just because other beauty bloggers are paying money out of their own pockets to review a product meant that you need to do the same.
Each blogger works differently. Some could be using products that they are already using, so it seems as though they looked rich enough while you are not. It's not the case at all. Example, I regularly visit The Body Shop. And because I bought enough to hit a certain amount, I always end up getting little freebies in the form of various sample satchets or travel-size items that I can use it to review on this blog. It's the same with other bloggers as well. Although sometimes it's part of a product launch that bloggers attended, so it seems that they could afford to buy an expensive facial set to test, try and review.
  • Don't feel upset that you are doing beauty product reviews on sample satchets.
Hey, I'm doing beauty product reviews with sample satchets as well. Why shouldn't you? And like what Madam Cheapo stated for her blog explanation, "It is not a crime to be a cheapo. In fact in the modern world we live in now, it is a virtue". Think of it this way, would you willingly buy a product in the hopes of reviewing it, only to find out that it doesn't suit you, despite the product claiming that it will work (for your skin type) and costing past S$20.00? I wouldn't! And it would be scandalous to even think you can have a giveaway for an item that you have used.
  • But I would want a company to "sponsor" me indefinitely so I can at least earn something for my hard work.
Here's another mini-tip for you. Part of the process in reviewing beauty products is also a journey to find that few products that can work miraculously for you on a longtime and permanent basis. Enjoy the process in doing so, and only by being thoroughly enjoying the process will your work shine. And before you know it, advertisers would want you to review their products without having you to spend a single cent on. You would get products free to test, try and review. People can see your work, considering that blogs are considered "public" on the vast Internet. It's even easier to see if you as a blogger, enjoyed the process of trying and reviewing, or just doing a stunt to make advertisers want to work with you.

And now that we've come to the end of this post, here's a last important tip I would like to share with you with regards to TSS. If you are already a member with them and felt that the delivery fee of S$3.99 is unjustified due to the reasons I've stated at the beginning of the post. Try not to top-up more than S$10.00 to your account. In the event if TSS just call it quits without warning, you can still "pretend" that your S$10.00 was donated to an anoymous charity. No hard feelings. If you topped up with amounts ranging from S$30.00 to S$50.00, that amount may be even harder to get back, and you will be even more upset.

L'Oreal White Perfect Laser: Anti-Spot Brightening Essence Review

WHAT IS IT: L'Oreal White Perfect Laser

THE PRODUCT(S):

L'Oreal White Perfect Laser: For the first time, L’Oreal Paris pits the White Perfect LaserTM range against the pinnacle of whitening technology, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment.”

A clinical trial conducted in L’Oréal Laboratories show that 8 weeks of daily application of both White Perfect Laser™ Essence and Day Cream SPF19/PA+++ delivered comparable results to those obtained from one IPL session on six key dimensions.

VERDICT: First of all, I've tried sniffing this L'Oreal White Perfect Laser. Although I did managed to detect a little scent, but it isn't so strong enough to discern exactly what. But I am glad to say the scent doesn't turn you off into applying onto your skin/face.

Initially, I thought this L'Oreal White Perfect Laser: Anti-Spot Brightening Essence would be more of a watery, serum-like consistency. However, it's actually a whitish essence with the consistency of facial lotion. Not the thick and creamy variety that may seemed too rich to be absorbed into our skin fast or efficiently enough. Even though the product stated that it is to be applied/used before the usual moisturizing, I purposely skipped the moisturizing part in order to guage if the product will end up making my face look more oily.

The absorption rate on my skin is rather fast and despite hours after using this, my face didn't look over-oily at all and there is non-existence sticky feeling as well. Despite using this for a few days already, I don't really see the random dark spots on my face becoming lighter at all. Maybe this is another one of those products where you really need to use it on a long-term basis (6 weeks to 3 months long) before any effect is noticeable.

Despite the product promising results in 8 weeks, I'm positively sure most of us would have prefer to see visible results in as fast as 4 to 6 weeks. I will still continue using this until my sample tube runs out and update this blog post for further results, although I'm confident that the sample I have won't last 8 weeks that long ^^; And I am keeping my fingers crossed that my dark spots will be lightened, if not, this will again be another one of those products that promises but never quite deliver.

PRODUCT RATING: ✓✓

WHAT I THINK: Dark spots no more, but sample too little wor!

WHERE TO REDEEM A SAMPLE: Go over to L'Oreal Paris Singapore Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/lorealparissingapore, Like their page. Next, look for a link that says White Perfect Laser. Click on it and once the page has finished loading, click on White Perfect Laser Sampling, fill in your details and wait for the sample to arrive in your mailbox.

However, I must warn you that L'Oreal Paris Singapore takes their own sweet time in mailing out samples. Mine took more than a month before it finally arrived, and their latest sample for the Lucent Magique BB Cream hasn't yet arrived in my mailbox despite requesting for it as soon as they released it.

Good luck, I'd say, if you are game enough to wait for your sample of L'Oreal White Perfect Laser: Anti-Spot Brightening Essence ^^

Samples Received/Redeemed: 12 Sept - 20 Sept 2012

Hello to my beautiful readers, you may wonder why there wasn't a blog posting yesterday. Don't worry just yet, I was taking the time to edit photographs snapped in order to upload them for today. As you can see from the blog post title, this is for samples that I have received, redeemed and won throughout the timeframe from 12 September till 20 September (2012). Included are links on how to get them, and if possible, links on contests to join them in winning your own prize too. So, sit back, read all about it and have a wonderful weekend and upcoming week :)

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

At first I was like o.o, then I was like ^_^. The sample I requested from Pets Place Purina finally came, and it's actually for the stray cat near this provision stall where I frequently wobbled to in order to get my occasional coca cola drink fix.

Even pet food can look so 'posh', don't you think?

Comes with 2 packets of kitty food sample, namely:
  • Seabream, Surimi, Sole & Snapper x 1
  • Tuna, Surimi & Prawns

Cats sure have good life, even their pet food comes in broth version...

Another card with a tantalizing image of the broth. I'm already feeling tempted to nom on it instead of feeding it to the cat..

WHERE TO REDEEM SAMPLE: I got this when their ad was flashing on the right side of my Facebook wall, however, I think the link/redemption is over. Instead, there's another new complimentary link.

Go to Pets Place Purina Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PetsPlacePurina, Like the page. Next click on the link that says Purina ONE WORLD and look for the next link called Take The 30 Day Challenge within the app and join it in order to receive a complimentary pack of Purina ONE. (This Purina ONE is meant for man's best friend, so if you have a kitty pet instead of a tail-waggly version, my apologies ^^)

I happened to saw this on the right panel of my Facebook page as usual, shared and spammed friends and acquaintances who are interested and cross my fingers we all got the 400ml bottle XD

More mail from Heroine Make and Hada Labo.

Just kinda lucked out on this one, I supposed. The competition was going on for quite a while and only managed to know about this. The catch is that I must vote for my favorite photo to receive a free Heroine Make Limited Edition Facial Blotter. And the voter must be within the first 300 as well. Glad my friend and I made it :)

WHERE TO REDEEM SAMPLE: Currently, the voting competition is over, however, I would suggest to Like Heroine Make Singapore Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/HeroineMakeSingapore to be notified of future contest(s) and giveaway(s).

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The latest giveaway from Hada Labo Singapore, where the freebie is a Limited Edition Travel Size Hada Labo Hydrating Milk.

WHERE TO REDEEM SAMPLE: Go to Hada Labo Singapore Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/hadalabosg, Like the page. Next, click on the link that says Free Sample!. However, unlike previous sample giveaway, this is a little tricky to "maneuver" in order to get your hands on it.

For starters, this new giveaway requires you to get at least 2 friends to register for a FREE Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion sample, and only then you can get a FREE Limited Edition Hada Labo Hydrating Milk (20g). Once a min of 2 friends have redeemed it successfully, you will get the FREE Limited Edition Hada Labo Hydrating Milk (20g) from them to thank you for sharing.

For the catch, mine that arrived wasn't the FREE Limited Edition Hada Labo Hydrating Milk (20g), instead, it was the travel size Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion...

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Sample set comes with a pouch in the shape of a water drop. And you can imagined my surprise when I received an email from SaSa Singapore announcing that I had won, although I couldn't seem to find that particular post or winner announcement post to share D:

A Super Aquasis Moisture Toner. Refreshing skin softener infused with full of moisture (30ml).

A Super Aquasis Moisture Gel Cream. Super moisturizing and refreshing effects (18ml).

I saw this giveaway at the usual place on my Facebook page, and I requested for Mixed Berries Mask. Although I was happy when I finally received the sample, I didn't feel that thrilled after I found out what it was.

I requested for Mixed Berries Mask, but they claimed it's "Out of Stock" and mailed me a Arbutin Whitening Mask instead <.< And the note that accompanied the mask claimed that it was chosen to be sent to me based on "closest to my request".

Honestly, I have uneven skin tone a little here and there. And this will probably make my even skin tone even paler and my uneven skin tone areas look even more uneven instead. If you get my hint -_-" I personally think it's more of "We sent you whatever we can get our hands on" instead of "We sent you based on the request closest to my initial choice".

WHERE TO REDEEM SAMPLE: If you are feeling lucky and think you may get a sample of the choice you have chosen, go over to My Beauty Diary SG Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MyBeautyDiarySg, Like their page.

Next, click on the link that says Redeem Free Sample!. If they sent you what you chose, good luck and stay as a fan. if they don't, then it's up to you XD

WHERE TO REDEEM SAMPLE: Go to this CozyCot website at http://www.cozycot.com/vaseline-uv-ligthening/, click on the link that says Click here for FREE 120ml sample!.

Next, a new pop-up window will appear. Fill in your particulars/answer a short questionnaire and go over to CozyCot's retail store at Orchard Central (Level 2) and present your NRIC to redeem it. Initially, I thought 120ml must be uber small, until I realized it was bigger than the previous Vaseline sample I redeemed before.

(Saw the previous Vaseline sample tube being sold at Guardian Pharmacy for S$1.00 per tube, so was rather hesitant, but was proved wrong!) Quickly go get yours!!

Well, a good friend (Irene) asked if I was going down the next day to her workplace. And since I was popping by to pick up my various samples (ahem! They're free, it's a waste if I don't ask for them), I decided to pop by her workplace and try the much-anticipated Manhattan Pizza Company as well. (Love them for non-oily pizzas!)

And was presented with uber stuffs that I fell in love with. There were Nando vouchers (which was promptly "looted" by my brother...), a retail-size bottle of Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion (she said she won quite a few and had some give as gifts, so she gib me one, so sweet ♥♥♥ ), a packet of facial mask that can be used with the Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion if I don't feel like applying with my fingers/hands instead.

And not forgetting, an EcoPure that consists of a bottle of Moisture Toner and Moisture Emulsion.

Felt a little paiseh to receive such wonderful goodies, I decided to gib back some of my favorite products from TBS too. Hope she will like them as well ^^

So, I got a mail from Welcome the World and wondered what was it?

Turns out I joined one of their Match & Win contest and this lanyard was a token of appreciation. Actually, I hoped to win at least a Kinokuniya voucher ^^ Don't mind buying some beauty-related books to read.

If the Match & Win contest can still be played, go ahead and do so for a shot of winning one of the voucher prize. If not, you can still be notified of future contest and giveaways.

And lastly, not forgetting our (my specifically) BFF in beauty products, Nezon Marketing a.k.a My Scheming!! I won't reveal why they are so generous with a box of facial mask, but it'll be revealed in due time, so stay tuned to this blog for it ^^

So, the delivery post-woman arrived at 10ish in the morning and I was still snoozing since I was trying to play this new MMO game called Forsaken World. The town area wasn't that "forsaken", but other questing area seemed to be so :P

Was kinda expecting her (the same post-woman from my previous SingPost delivery for winning the the T-Zone contest) to yell out a new name for another pooch species, since she already yelled "Poodle!". Too bad she didn't, however, she yelled out something else that I simply cannot decipher.. o.o Definitely not "chihuahua", I assure you.

And as usual, it was well "sealed" but I knew who the sender was, looking at how my address was printed out XD

Opens box and squeals happily!!

I just love the letter they sent along, just to re-confirm how and why I got it ^^ Yeah, I'm weird but hey, it does bring another nice element of happiness and surprise knowing that you won/got something and the letter re-affirmed that as well!

Heh heh~ It's not that hard to guess what this is for.

Got another complimentary mask (Bird's Nest Collagen Hydrating Mask) from the wonderful folks at "Nezon Marketing: My Scheming to test out ^^

And at the same time, won one of their facebook contest as well. This makes it 2 pieces of Milk Extract Brightening Mask that I can use, try and review here too ^^ Awesome!!

Ahhhhh~ An entire box of Deep Cleansing Pore Minimizing Mask (x 10 pieces at 30 ml each) to look pretty. *squeals again*

WHERE TO REDEEM SAMPLE: My Scheming (by Nezon Marketing) occasionally has facebook contest where you can win a facial mask to try and use. To join and stand a chance at winnng their awesome product, it's not that hard too.

Go over to My Scheming Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MySchemingSg, Like their page in order to be notified of future contest and giveaways. All from the wonderful folks at My Scheming ♥♥♥
